Well pump selection is an important part in the well. Make sure you select a pump big enough to meet your household and irrigation needs. We use a top of the line pump from Sta-Rite. It is a composite and stainless steel pumps featuring Franklin Motors. Berkeley has a one-year warranty on their pumps.
We install a 1Hp-20gpm pump in about 75% of our installations. This is an excellent pump selection in most cases to supply the house and run the irrigation system. As a general rule of thumb though, as your well gets deeper, you should also increase pump size to overcome the additional pumping head
